As we age, our natural collagen breaks down, diminishing facial volume. This loss of elasticity and volume results in the wrinkles, facial lines and skin laxity that rob your skin of its youthful appearance. RADIESSE® can help replenish volume loss. It is FDA-approved for the correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds
The Radiesse™ difference:
- Immediate correction of moderate to severe wrinkles
- Stimulates the body’s own natural collagen production
- Feels soft and looks natural
- Provides results that last a year or more in many patients
- Allows an easy and convenient procedure, back to normal activities in no time
How does it work?
Once injected, RADIESSE® fills and replenishes volume lost over time for a more refreshed looking you. Then it goes to work by stimulating your body to produce its own natural collagen. Over time, your body absorbs the product and leaves behind only your own natural collagen for long-lasing results.
How long does it last?
Not only does RADIESSE® provide immediate correction, the natural, beautiful results may last a year or more in many patients.
What is it made of?
RADIESSE® is a unique dermal filler made from synthetic calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres suspended in a water based gel carrier. RADIESSE® is the only calcium-based filler that stimulates collagen production for long-lasting results.
What can I expect?
RADIESSE® is FDA approved to mix with lidocaine (an anesthetic). That means you can experience a more comfortable wrinkle treatment. In fact, in a clinical study, using RADIESSE® mixed with lidocaine significantly reduced pain in 90{41e59d6b7eb3d8b4e1c640345588d220ad67affa387a48261842d5d07fe6e974} of patients treated.
RADIESSE® is injected into the skin in a simple, safe, quick procedure that can even be done over your lunch hour. Just like any injection, you may experience mild irritation, swelling, itching, redness or tenderness at the injection site. These typically resolve on their own. If any of these side effects persist, contact us immediately.
How long is recovery time?
There is very little to no down-time with RADIESSE®. In fact, most patients return to their normal, daily activities right after their visit. Every patient is unique, so be sure to discuss your plans with Dr. Muennich in your consultation.
